free fallin'

Unce upon a time Autumn was my favorite season. And on this past Sunday on my drive home from Saugatuck, I was reminded of why that is. Autumn is not supposed to be filled with all the cold, dreary, rainy days we've been having. Autumn, and October especially, is at her best when the sun is shining on the brilliant orange, red & yellow leaves. When all you need is a pair of jeans and a warm sweatshirt to fend off the slight chill in the air. When you look around, and you see this kind of ridonculous beauty everywhere....

Gorgeous blue skies meet gorgeous blue waters....I didn't even know that pink was in Autumn's palette....
Seriously, could this beautiful, brilliant burst of Fall color be any more lovely?

I got inspired by all the natural artistry, and felt compelled to get all artistic & shit myself. Here's a picture of a statue in a cemetery in Benton Harbor, Michigan....
And here's somebody's yard with an apple tree & some sort of berry bush & a perfectly placed ladder, all on the shore of Lake Michigan.....

Clearly, I had the best Sunday drive in the history of Sunday drives, and was totally rejuvenated when I got back to Chicago. That night Anthony & I carved our pumpkins, and I am still in awe of our creations. My pumpkin looks like it's seriously ready to fuck somebody up, while Anthony's is about to audition for a role in a Tim Burton movie. They make me really happy.
Happy Halloween & Happy Autumn!!!!!
